Producing standard EN10219 contains two parts, EN10219-1 and EN10219-2
EN10219-1: Technical delivery conditions
EN10219-2: Tolerances, dimensions and sectional properties.
The difference means of the Sub-Grades JR, J0 and J2.
The steel sub-grades of JR, J0 and J2 standards for the different Charpy impact value.
JR-Longitudinal Charpy V-notch impacts 27J at Room temperature.
J0-Longitudinal Charpy V-notch impacts 27J at 0℃
J2-Longitudinal Charpy V-notch impacts 27J at -20℃
In very general terms, JR steel material is most available from stock and mill. It is also the lowest price compare with J0 and J2. Material J0 and J2 are not normally held in stock and might need ordering directly from the steel mill.
