Brief Introduction

Forged and Bored Pipe for High-Temperature Service is based on ASTM A369 standard. This guide specifies standard specification for heavy-wall carbon and alloy steel pipe made from turned and bored forgings and is intended for high-temperature service.

It covers heavy-wall carbon and alloy steel pipe made from turned and bored forgings and is intended for high-temperature service. Pipe ordered under this specification shall be suitable for bending and other forming operations and for fusion welding. Selection will depend on design, service conditions, mechanical properties and high-temperature characteristics.

Description

ASTM A369 or ASME SA-369/SA-369M is a kind of Ferritic Alloy steel forged and bored steel pipe/tube for high temperature service. The boiler tubes are manufactured from materials which are able to withstand high temperatures and high pressures. They must therefore meet the greatest technical requirements of the production process and also the most stringent control regulations in order to guarantee their durability and reliability over a period of time.
